Are you ready to party?
Asics are celebrating the 21st anniversary of the spectacular Gel Kayano!
Since its birth, the Gel Kayano has remained at the very forefront of cutting edge technology.
Designed for runners with a mild to moderate degree of pronation, the new Gel Kayano 21 release has further refined its technology with the introduction of the amazing new lighter FluidRide system, reducing the previous bottom weight by 15% and increasing the top layer bounce back by a staggering 20%.
Ok, so FluidRide is the very latest evolution of the Asics midsole. It offers you perfect cushioning and an improved elasticity, allowing runners to run longer and faster with more bouce and push. The innovative technology consists of a two-layered sole that provides better cushioning properties and a better compression/return.
Inside the shoe there's a new X-40 Sockliner, it's the Asics new flagship sockliner and provides more comfort and bounce back, in fact its increased the bounce by 40% in respect to the previous Ortholite.
The SpEVA 55 changes to the midsole, combined with the Clutch counter, located at the rear of the shoe, fix upon stability and efficiency. You can really feel the shoe working for you as you run, supporting you and giving you that added push power you need.
The amazingly lightweight, mesh upper, is equipped with a 4-way FluidFit system. It optimizes the entire fit of the shoe around your foot and ensures a comfortable ride without any feelings of irritation or restraint, giving you the feeling of utter stability and control.
The shoe is also equipped with several other technologies Asics have introduced over the years, like the Dynamic DuoMax that provides an extra level of support and stability, ideal for those who have pronantion problems. The superb GEL cushioning systems located in the front and back of the shoe give marvelous comfort and eradicate vertical impact shock.
Finally, the Guidance Line features a new heel crash area that slows down pronation by engaging the Guidance Line more efficiently to allow an improved heel down - toe-off and ensuring a full potential gait cycle.
BE SEEN, BE SAFE, this Lite Show version is completely reflective and provides safer workouts in low like conditions.
Forefoot GEL
ASICS GEL is a shock absorption system that uses silicone to satisfy the needs of both amateurs and professional athletes. Forefoot GEL reduces the force of the load during push, increasing performance and drastically reducing the risk of injury.
Guidance Line
Guidance Line places a visible groove in the mid and outsole that follows the foot's center of pressure from heel to toe. The result is a more adaptive running platform, creating a smoother transition from heel strike to toe-off with each stride. The Guidance Line thus helps runners to maintain a natural, efficient gait, especially over long distances.
I.G.S.
The Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) is an Asics design philosophy. It aims to make shoe components from rear to midfoot and forefoot to work together effectively to allow the body to perform in a natural manner. Asics designers strive to compliment, not correct, how the legs and feet move.
Rearfoot GEL
ASICS GEL is a shock absorption system that uses silicone to satisfy the needs of amateurs and professional athletes alike. Rearfoot GEL offers omni-directional shock absorption, it not only absorbs harmful shock, but helps to stabilize impact forces on the heel.
AHAR+
A thiner and lighter version of AHAR, but with the same resistant effects, the AHAR+ rubber is placed strategically over the outsole to improve strenght and reduce excessive wear.
FluidFit
New Fluid Fit technology, enables both comfort and unrestrictive running. A innovative mesh material design extends in multiple directions, creating a "snug as a glove" fit that provides a unique balance of comfort and fit.
